RECOVERY & REHABILITATION SUPPORT

A complement to recovery, where load-bearing exercise can't go yet.

Vasper is a zero-impact training system used alongside guided rehabilitation programs. Compression and active cooling let the body train at high physiological intensity without adding joint or impact stress to recovering tissue- supporting circulation, hormonal response, and conditioning during periods when conventional exercise isn't an option.

HOW VASPER FITS

Vasper does not replace rehabilitation.
It complements it.

When someone is recovering from surgery, an injury, or an extended period of inactivity, the body still needs the signals that exercise provides- circulation, hormonal response, neuromuscular activation. The problem is that conventional exercise often can't be tolerated yet. Loaded joints aren't ready. Cardiovascular intensity isn't safe. Range of motion is limited.

Vasper offers a way to train at meaningful physiological intensity without adding mechanical load to recovering tissue. Used alongside a guided rehabilitation program directed by qualified professionals, it gives the body access to the benefits of exercise during the window when traditional training isn't yet appropriate.

Vasper is an advanced performance and recovery training system- not a medical device, treatment, or substitute for medical care. Always work with qualified healthcare professionals for recovery from injury, surgery, or any health condition.

WHY VASPER SUPPORTS RECOVERY

The benefits of exercise.
The load of zero.

Recovery is the body rebuilding itself. Vasper supports that work by providing the physiological signals of exercise- without the mechanical cost. Four mechanisms make it different from conventional training.

01

Hormonal Response Without Joint Load

BFR compression and active cooling trigger growth hormone and testosterone release the body would normally only access through heavy training. Recovering tissue gets the anabolic signals it needs without the mechanical stress that would compromise healing.

02

Improved Circulation, On Demand

Compression and the seated cardiovascular protocol drive blood flow through muscle, connective tissue, and the periphery - supporting circulation without requiring the recovering individual to bear weight, stand, or sustain impact.

03

Lower Cortisol, Better Sleep

Active cooling regulates core temperature and supports the parasympathetic shift needed for restorative sleep. A 6-week study with 14 Veterans (Colorado Springs Center for Human Performance) documented a 38.5% improvement in PSQI sleep quality scores.

04

Conditioning You Can Maintain

Cardiovascular and hormonal conditioning can be preserved through periods of injury, surgery, or reduced activity - so the return to full training doesn't start from zero. Used by NFL, NHL, and MLB rehab groups for exactly this reason.

DOCUMENTED RESEARCH

A 12-week study at the Cantu Concussion Center
found stable recovery in individuals using BFR and cooling.

WU, GRAVEL, WHITE, AVERY, ENIS, STARK, CANTU  -  EMERSON HOSPITAL & UMASS LOWELL  -  WORLD CONGRESS OF BIOMECHANICS, 2018

The Dr. Robert C. Cantu Concussion Center at Emerson Hospital, working with the University of Massachusetts Lowell, ran a 12-week single-blind randomized controlled study with individuals diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome. Participants completed aerobic exercise twice a week for six weeks- one group with Vasper's BFR and cooling, the other without- followed by a six-week follow-up period.

The group using Vasper demonstrated significantly more stable recovery across the study period, with significantly larger improvement in self-reported quality of life scores at both the post-intervention timepoint and the follow-up.

“The preliminary results of this study have demonstrated that aerobic exercise with BFR and cooling enhances the recovery of PCS. The effect caused by BFR and cooling maintains and stays more stable after the intervention ends compared to regular aerobic exercise at the same intensity.”

WHERE VASPER HAS BEEN USED

Recovery is not one situation.
It's many.

Vasper has been integrated into recovery and return-to-activity programs across a range of contexts- always alongside care from qualified professionals, never as a substitute. Each of the categories below describes how facilities have used Vasper as part of a broader program, not a claim about what Vasper does on its own.

Athletic Return-to-Play

Maintaining conditioning through injury.

NFL, NHL, and MLB training staffs use Vasper alongside their rehab protocols to help athletes maintain hormonal and cardiovascular conditioning during soft-tissue, post-surgical, and overuse recovery - without adding load to the recovering structure.

Post-Concussion Programs

Documented research support.

The Cantu Concussion Center at Emerson Hospital integrated Vasper into a randomized controlled study with post-concussion syndrome patients receiving standardized physical therapy. The Vasper group showed significantly more stable symptom recovery.

Older Adult Wellness

Conditioning without impact.

Senior wellness facilities have integrated Vasper into routine programming for adults 60-90. The seated, zero-impact protocol provides cardiovascular and hormonal benefits accessible to populations for whom traditional exercise is often inappropriate.

Veteran Wellness

Sleep and energy support.

The Colorado Springs Center for Human Performance ran a 6-week wellness study with 14 Veterans using Vasper three times per week. Participants reported a 38.5% improvement in sleep quality scores and 34% improvement in self-reported energy.

Practitioner Settings

Used by trained staff.

Performance gyms, wellness centers, and recovery-focused facilities offer Vasper to clients as part of structured programming. Sessions are supervised by trained staff and calibrated to each individual.

Active Recovery Days

Between training, not in place of it.

For physically active individuals, Vasper is commonly used on rest days - supporting circulation and recovery between heavier training sessions without contributing to cumulative load.

NOTE: THE CONTEXTS DESCRIBED ABOVE REFERENCE HOW VASPER HAS BEEN INTEGRATED INTO BROADER PROGRAMS BY QUALIFIED FACILITIES AND PROFESSIONALS. VASPER IS NOT FDA APPROVED AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL CARE, PHYSICAL THERAPY, OR ANY CLINICAL INTERVENTION. ALWAYS CONSULT APPROPRIATE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS BEFORE BEGINNING ANY NEW EXERCISE PROGRAM, PARTICULARLY DURING RECOVERY FROM INJURY, SURGERY, OR ANY HEALTH CONDITION.

WHO VASPER SERVES IN RECOVERY CONTEXTS

Two audiences.
One protocol.

The same 21-minute session that helps an athlete maintain conditioning through a soft-tissue injury is the one that gives an older adult cardiovascular benefit without joint stress. Vasper is calibrated to the person on the unit- not the other way around.

For the Individual

Stay engaged with your body during recovery.

  • Maintain conditioning when load-bearing exercise isn't yet appropriate - so the return to full activity doesn't start from zero.
  • Support sleep and energy during the recovery window, when both are commonly disrupted.
  • Stay active alongside your guided program - not replacing it, complementing it.
  • Train without sweating through your clothes. The active cooling means no shower required - useful when mobility is limited.
  • Sit, don't stand. The seated recumbent design works for users whose balance, weight-bearing, or range of motion is temporarily compromised.

For the Facility

One tool. Many programs.

  • Bridge the gap between active rehab and return to full strength & conditioning - one tool both groups can use.
  • Calibrated to the individual - not a fixed load. Resistance, intensity, and protocol adjust to the person on the unit.
  • 21-minute sessions fit into existing schedules without disrupting other programming.
  • Trained staff supervision required. Vasper is designed to be operated by trained personnel as part of a structured program.
  • One station, broad applicability - from competitive athlete return-to-play to senior wellness programming.

IN THEIR WORDS

From the practitioners
and the people they work with.

★★★★★

“The effects on both off-ice training and recovery for our hockey team have been astounding. With the Vasper compression technology we have not only been able to receive a metabolic training effect, but we have been able to utilize the body's naturally occurring hormones to help rejuvenate muscle tissue, connective tissue, and nerve cells. I would recommend implementing Vasper not only for improvements in metabolic training but as a recovery tool, both in and out of season.”

★★★★★

“Within 20 minutes of my first use, I had the endorphin rush that you can usually only achieve after a much longer workout. It helps with my recoveries after strenuous workouts on and off the ice during training. I don't feel as tired, I sleep much better, and just feel so much healthier and stronger overall since beginning to use Vasper. When I do Vasper before my workouts I have some of my best workouts. It's unbelievable.”

★★★★★

“Vasper has become an important part of my performance and recovery system. As an athlete, sports chiropractor, and performance coach, I'm always looking for ways to improve resilience, recovery, and nervous system capacity. Vasper helps bridge the gap between recovery and performance - supporting energy, restoration, and readiness so athletes and high performers can continue operating at their highest level. I believe technology should enhance human potential, not replace it. Vasper does exactly that.”

★★★★★

“Vasper has been an absolute game changer. We're efficient in helping all ages, shapes, and sizes improve their overall physical and metabolic health - we do it efficiently from elite athletes to 90-year-old athletes. The technology speaks loud and clear and is incredibly user-friendly. I would not move forward with any progressive fitness or anti-aging facility without thinking about Vasper first and foremost.”
